New Semester starts at IUBH School of Business and Management: Around 450 German and international students begin their studies in Bad Honnef, Bad Reichenhall and Berlin

At IUBH School of Business and Management around 450 students have currently started their bachelor degree programmes in hospitality, tourism, event and aviation management as well as international management. The MBA and master degree programmes with specialisation in international service management started concurrently.  The Rectorate, IUBH Campus Director and town of Bad Honnef welcomed the students on the Bad Honnef campus today. As part of the orientation programme with team building events, numerous introductory lectures and information about campus infrastructure and extracurricular activities, during the first two weeks of the semester new students will become familiarised with living and studying in Bad Honnef. 

Margit Rüfner-Bahne, campus director in Bad Honnef is pleased: “IUBH continues to grow also in fall semester 2017/18. Our students benefit from the award-winning quality and innovative approaches of our teaching and proximity to our key industries. We are particularly pleased to see so many international students. They attest to the international recognition of our university and enrich our campus life.”

In addition to regularly enrolled students, exchange students also started their studies at the University of Applied Sciences, some of whom are pursuing an academic IUBH degree in accordance with dual degree agreements. They also benefit from the global IUBH network of partner universities and cooperating companies. In October, Career Days will take place, an annual on campus event where many prospective employers present themselves to students.

In the coming days fall semester will also begin in Bad Reichenhall and Berlin, where about 90 students will start their studies.

There are currently over 85 countries represented in the approximately 2,000 students enrolled at IUBH School of Business and Management. Students from throughout Germany study together with international classmates in courses taught in English, allowing them to acquire skills that are important for starting a successful career. For the fall semester now starting, the International University of Applied Sciences welcomes students from the USA, Canada, Egypt, Spain, India, Russia, Albania, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, China, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Thailand, Syria, Ghana, Luxemburg, Colombia, Indonesia, Kenya, Jamaica, Turkey, Vietnam, Romania, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Nigeria, France and Nepal.
