September 1999
State recognition by the Ministry of Education and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia for the study programmes Hospitality-, Tourism- and Aviation Management.

September 2000
Finally... study start for the four-year double degree programmes Hospitality Management and Tourism Management.
March 2001
Start of the three-year bachelor degree programme Aviation Management.
January 2002
Minister Wolfgang Clement inaugurates the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn.
September 2003
Admission to the exclusive association of “The Leading Hotel Schools of the World” as the first and only German university
October 2003
Start of the three year bachelor degree programmes Event Management and International Management.
January 2004
The International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn is the first German university to be awarded the hotel industry’s Oscar 'Hotelier des Jahres' for its excellent study concept.
June 2005
The university expands the career opportunities for its graduates through a cooperation agreement with AIDA Cruises.
October 2006
The International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn and ROBINSON Club GmbH agree on cooperation and inaugurate the new ROBINSON-suite on campus.
June 2007
Successful takeover of the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn by Auctus and Dr. Florian Schütz, who is appointed CEO of the university. The new sponsor is Career Partner GmbH in Munich.
September 2007
Flying Bachelors take off – in cooperation with a flying school Aviation Management students have the chance to attain their flight licence simultaneously to their studies at IUBH.
February 2008
The International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn announces the plans of establishing a second campus location in Bad Reichenhall – lectures commence in autumn 2008.
September 2008
Ten pioneer students begin their seven semester double bachelor degree programme in Hospitality- and Tourism Management on Bad Reichenhall campus.
September 2008
Start of the four semester Master degree programme International Management on campus Bad Honnef.
November 2008
As part of the cooperation agreement with Alois Dallmayr Kaffee oHG, the university opens the worldwide first Dallmayr Café & Bar on its Bad Honnef campus.
January 2009
The International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn and Germany's car rental number 1, Sixt AG agree upon extensive cooperation.
July 2009
Minister of Innovation Prof. Andreas Pinkwart congratulated the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn for the institutional accreditation for the longest possible term of ten years without imposing conditions by the German Science and Humanities Council.

The new study programme Audit and Taxation starts, supported by cooperation agreements with Ernst & Young and Rödl & Partner.
Oktober 2009
The International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef · Bonn opens its first building on Bad Reichenhall campus. Building I is equiped with modern class rooms, students apartments, a specialised library and a 200 square metre restaurant- and demonstration-kitchen.
June 2010
The IUBH celebrates its 10th anniversary. In the course of the festivities the campus conference "IUBH Dialogue on Sustainability - IUBH Nachhaltigkeitsdialog" takes place for the first time.

Juli 2010
The IUBH tourism programmes receive the UNWTO.Tedqual certification by the World Tourism Organisation of the United Nations. The study programmes International Tourism Management and Tourism and Travel Management now rank among the world's leading programmes in this field.
