Annual Meeting of the "Gesellschaft der Förderer der Internationalen Fachhochschule e.V."

Items on the agenda included updating the statutes: the name of the association was changed to “Gesellschaft der Förderer der Internationalen Fachhochschule e.V.” in accordance with the name change of the university from “Fachhochschule” to “Hochschule” , and relevant statutes updated as a result of structural changes in the university. Also on the agenda was the election of the Vice Chairman and Treasurer. Paul Friedrich (left in photo) was unanimously re-elected as Vice Chairman, and Matthias Niemeyer (right) unanimously re-elected as Treasurer. An essential purpose of the association is to support motivated, high-performance students. In this spirit, Nadine El Rahman and Pascal Leber, both of whom received a scholarship for studies abroad, reported about their experiences at Brighton University in the UK and at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, USA.
A moment of silence was held in memory of Helmut Kloss. Helmut Kloss was an alumnus of St. Anno-school, and as one of the first members of the association, very connected to the International University. The benches in the park are the result of one of his many initiatives. He will be held in good memory as a committed and active member.
