Library Information Services (LIS)

Library Information Services (LIS) is the library and information centre of the International University of Applied Sciences Bad Honnef ▪·Bonn.

LIS is provided with the most modern equipment and helps students, professors and lecturers to obtain any literature and information they may need for their studies, teaching and research.

LIS COLLECTION
is comprised of two complementary sections, the print collection and the digital collection.

The Print Collection
The print collection consists of about 16,000 books, videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs, as well as about 200 subscribed print journals. Also, there are numerous national and international newspapers available to read in the library.

The print collection can be accessed and searched with the help of our Online Catalogue, the so called LIS|OPAC. This electronic catalogue is available on the internet and provides information about the complete media inventory of the LIS stock.

The Digital Collection
The portal to the digital collection (DigiLIS), which is exclusively accessible to university members offers more than 5,000 documents and links to download, about 150 ejournals and 35 databases etc.. – In order to work with this tool you have to log in with username and password.

Semester Hours
Monday - Friday >   9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Saturday           > 10 a.m. -   6 p.m.
Sunday             > 10 a.m. -   6 p.m. (during all Exam Periods | midterm - resits - final)

Semester Break
Monday - Friday > 9 a.m. - 5.30 p.m.
