Dear prospective students of Event Management,

Welcome to the Department of Event Management at the IUBH School of Business and Management. I invite you to visit us any time - either personally or through this website. Discover the student life in our courses on campus in Bad Honnef.

Event Management is often chosen as a specialised part of the business administration courses - students who want to stand out - and will stand out - later in their professional lives through service-orientation, organizational talent as well as team leadership skills.

So far 282 students have chosen this course of study. They are learning and have already learnt to lead and at the same time work successfully in the area of Service Management not only through the excellent academic curriculum, but also through the commitment to various projects as well as extracurricular activities.

On the one hand, we offer excellent extracurricular activities for our first semester students - through conferences on campus, excursions to important partner organizations (fairs, event agencies, organizers of concerts and exhibitions, conference locations etc.), essential information is brought directly to the students at the beginning of their studies and first contact possibilities for their future careers are therefore established.

In addition, activities such as sports, arts and social commitment are experienced during the studies. IUBH students are well-known for their creativity and the talents which they show in various clubs and organizations. 17 of these clubs and organizations are at the moment present on campus - some of them have already existed for years, others are relatively new...and the possibilities are growing all the time.

Our university is also a research institution. In the Event Management Department, many projects are supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, by federal resources, resources of the European Union or by various foundations. Many students are interested in participating in such projects (for example as part of their Bachelor Thesis) and therefore gain an insight into current Economics and research in Economics.

Through the close interaction between other departments (for example the Tourism and Hospitality Department), our students experience transdisciplinary excellence in teaching and research. The university offers an extensive library and outstanding (teaching -) gastronomy. We try to enrich campus life as well as life in Bad Honnef through our various activities.

The IUBH can look back on a 10 year tradition with the foundation of the university in the year 2000. The diversity of our students, the international orientation, excellent teaching, project work and research make our university and our Department an institution of growth, innovation and change.

We appreciate your interest in our university and in the Department of Event Management. Please use this website to acquire information about our university, student activities, the faculty, and the administration. Visit our campus and we will be delighted to show you around and to introduce you to our study programmes, architecture and infrastructure.
