At the International University, the combination of practice and theory has always been an important commitment.

With this goal in mind, the IUBH School of Business and Management has employed honorary professors for years. These are professionals from industry who have found a passion for teaching and reporting about their experience.


Prof. Dr. Michael Holzschneider

Prof. Dr. Michael Holzschneider
Department of Aviation Management

Short CV

Dr. Holzschneider has taught Airport Management at the IUBH School of Business and Management since 2002. During this time he has given the university extraordinary support in developing the Department of Aviation Management and positioning the university in the aviation industry.

Dr. Holzschneider has also supervised the internships of many students and, time and time again, has supported students with  hands-on thesis topics that allow them to apply scientific method to aviation-related problem areas.


Prof. Dr. Martin Roll

Prof. Dr. Martin Roll

Short CV

Prof. Dr. Roll has taught Airport Management at the IUBH School of Business and Management since 2009. He has provided outstanding teaching at the university and has given extraordinary input for the further development of the Aviation faculty.

Roll's main profession is Managing Director and Chairman of the Management Board of AHS Aviation Handling Services GmbH. Beforehand, he worked for airlines and airports in leading positions. This allows him to perfectly incorporate application-oriented examples and approaches into teaching and research. He speaks eight languages and is an aviation expert of high renown.


Prof. Dr. Hans-Josef Vogel

Prof. Dr. Hans-Josef Vogel

Dr. Vogel has taught National Law, International Law and Tourism Law at the IUBH School of Business and Management since 2001. During this time he has provided outstanding application-oriented teaching at the university, bringing an exceptional understanding of how to interconnect scientific knowledge with practical relevance. 

In the context of his professional work Dr Vogel has shown outstanding achievements in research and teaching, and has incorporated these experiences in various ways at the IUBH. With his specialisation in travel law he is outstandingly suited for working with the International University of Applied Sciences on a long term basis, also in the sense of practical cooperation.
