IUBH Wall of Fame presents
Project 2028 and Cargo Climate Care Award
When I started my degree at the IUBH in 2006, I soon realized that I had chosen the right course. To me events were fascinating, impressive and absolutely stunning. And of course, they still are!
However, when my team and I participated in "Project 2028" with our creative idea for the hotel suite of the future during my second year at IUBH (2008), I figured out there is something else besides the management part of this job, which I even liked more...
During the following year, when Lufthansa Cargo established the "Lufthansa Cargo Climate Care Award" I was finally sure about my future role in the world of events. There was especially one event part I simply fall in love with: the conceptual work!
Therefore, I finally began my Masters degree at the Manchester Metropolitan University in the field of Marketing Communications. Similar to our future hotel suite and our environment friendly airport projects I want to inspire, fascinate and electrify people with event and communication concepts.
Now I'm a trainee at Grass Roots Germany, a global communication and event agency, and got the chance to learn more about this job by working in professional teams together with national and international customers. Of course it's a great honour to be awarded by The Leading Hotels of the World (now Hotel Schools of Distinction) and Lufthansa Cargo, but I am most grateful for the fact that they opened my eyes for what I really want to do.
Thanks to these awards, my degrees and my work at Grass Roots Germany, I know that I'm much more of a conceptioner than I have ever thought.
