Aviation Certificate

This course is targeted to both students of various specialist subjects and those already employed in the aviation industry.

Students are assisted by experienced practice-based experts alongside the excellent lecturers of the IUBH School of Business and Management.

The IUBH School of Business and Management was the first university of applied sciences in Europe to offer a three-year course in International Aviation Management. Our students can therefore profit greatly from our excellent contacts to professionals involved in daily practice, as well as from our high level of competence in this sector!

Certificate in Airline Management or Aviation Management
Target group: students or people whose work relates to the aviation sector
Duration of course: one semester each, starting in March or September
Language of instruction: English

Programme characteristics

The Aviation Certificate is an attendance course over a period of one semester and consists of two modules.

Every participant takes a basic module with the following courses:

Airline Business Models - 2 ETCS
Introduction to Aviation Management - 3 ETCS
Aviation Project I - 3 ETCS

The participants also take one additional optional module and can choose between the following:

Option I - Policy module
Aviation Economics & Policy - 3 ETCS
International Aviation Policy & Institutions - 2 ETCS

Option II - Airport module
Airport Management - 3 ETCS
Ground Service - 2 ETCS

Option III - Cargo module
Air Cargo Management - 3 ETCS
Logistics for Integrators - 2 ETCS

Option IV - Advanced module
For the Enrolment in this module there are requirements which will be checked by our faculty for every certificate participant

Yield Management - 4 ETCS
Network Management - 4 ETCS

Teaching is carried out partly in the form of lectures and partly in seminar style.

Admission requirements

To take part in the Aviation Certificate you need:
•    Proficiency in English and
•    Initial experience in the aviation industry.

Tuition fees

  1. Tuition fees
    The Aviation Certificate requires one semester of study.
    Tuition fees: €4,490.-
  2. Additional expenses
    Notebook
    For studying at the IUBH School of Business and Management students need a personal notebook. Depending on the equipment involved, the costs range from €800.- to €2,500.-

    Further additional costs may also be incurred, e.g. for books, copies/printouts, field trips, sightseeing tours, visits of trade fairs, etc.
