Order of study: International Management

 

This programme covers a wide range of business topics, from global economics to human resources to marketing. You will examine business operations, performance and strategy in the context of global business. Through in-class discussions, teamwork and off-campus projects you will develop the leadership and intercultural skills necessary to work in today's dynamic management environment.

First Semester:

Expand your knowledge of general management. Parallel you will strengthen your professional profile through language courses.

Second Semester:

Choose four of six possible areas of focus including international organizational behaviour, international human resource management, international management accounting and control, international marketing, international financial accounting and international financial management.

Third Semester:

Focus on your specialisation in one of five areas: Marketing, Human Resources, Aviation, Accounting & Finance, Hospitality, Health Care* or IT Management*.

Forth Semester:
Your last semester is spent writing your master thesis.

Programme details

The programme consists of several academic and practically-oriented modules from business and management. 

The generalist aspect of the programme is reflected in the compulsory modules which will teach you:

  • Academic research methods
  • Applied statistics
  • Strategic aspects of the service mangement
  • Performance measurement and management
  • International economic policy
  • International business ethics
  • Corporate governance in an international context
A broad range of language courses rounds out the core qualifications for your international management career.

Four of six optional compulsory modules help to prepare you for a future specialisation:
  • International organisational behaviour
  • International human resource management
  • International management accounting and control
  • International financial accounting
  • International financial management
  • International marketing
These subjects round out your professional orientation according to the functions of international management.

In the third semester you will concentrate on your major, which gives you an academic foundation and vital practical experience for your professional future. You may chose between Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting & Finance, Aviation, Hospitality, Health Care* or IT Management*.
