International Student application guidelines

To help you with the application process, the following information provides the necessary details for international Bachelor and Master applicants.

  1. Check entry requirements
  2. Send application to IUBH (electronically)
  3. Receive acceptance form & transfer deposit to reserve study place
  4. Receive offer letter & Tuition contract
  5. Apply for VISA
  6. Receive confirmation of enrolment – entering IUBH
     

1. Check Entry Requirements

Bachelor Programmes   
EU-students:

Non EU-students are enrolled in a 4year bachelor programme, including a university preparation year in the first year (foundation). 
You need to fulfil these requirements:

India

10 + 2 school leaving certificate, with a score of minimum 65% in average and 65% in Maths plus an IELTS score of 4.5.

Pakistan

Higher Secondary (School) Certificate, Group Commerce / Intermediate (Examination) Certificate plus an IELTS score of 4.5.

China

GAOKAO Score with an admission to level 2 university – alternatively you may take the TestAS test, here you need a score of  101 in the core and in the specific test plus an IELTS score for English language of 4.5.

All other NON-EU countries
In general you need a school leaving certificate (in some countries you need a certain min. score) plus an IELTS of min. 4.5.

Master Programmes

For all countries you need a Bachelor degree in business from an internationally recognized university plus an IELTS score of 6.0.

2. Send application to IUBH (electronically)

You find the application form here.
Fill in Application Form & Collect all Necessary Documents

The first step towards your application is to fill in the application form. Please make sure to also attach all required documents as stated here:
*Personal statement: The International University of Bad Honnef is looking for students dedicated to its values: Academic excellence, international orientation and high engagement to personal goals and achievements. Please write app. 1 ½ page, max. 800 words on yourself, your personal goals and why you have chosen the IUBH.
Please send your application form and documents by email to the admission office. We will check if you fulfil the entry requirements and will let you know within two weeks.

3.  Receive acceptance form & transfer deposit
     to reserve study place

If you fulfil the requirements, you will receive an acceptance form. You will need to sign the acceptance form and transfer a deposit to the university’s bank account.
This is € 3,000 and will be deducted from your tuition fees.

4. University's Offer Letter & Tuition Contract

After having paid the deposit, you will receive the university’s offer letter and your tuition contract documents. You will need both for your visa application.
After signing the tuition contract and returning it to IUBH you have to transfer the enrolment fee of € 450.

5. Visa Application for Non-EU applicants

6. Receive confirmation of enrolment – entering IUBH

Once we have received both copies of your signed tuition contract, we will send you the orientation information, the confirmation of your enrolment and the invoice of the remaining fee.
