We offer Bachelor and Master programmes in various fields. In all our programmes we provide you not only with specialist know-how but also relevant general management knowledge and skills.

I have already chosen a study programme
Have you already received all the information on the study programme you wish to pursue? Then simply apply online for a place to study. Depending on whether you wish to apply for a Bachelor’s or a Master’s study programme, you will follow a different application process once you have submitted the online application.

Admission Requirements

  • School education
    Secondary school leaving certificate, university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) or equivalent qualification*
    *Equivalent qualifications from foreign schools and IB diplomas are recognised accordingly.
  • English language skills
    Since all of our study programmes are offered in English, a certification of your language skills is required (TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge). If you have not graduated yet, you may apply with your existing transcripts of records (incl. grades and credits, if applicable) for a conditional acceptance. The final degree may be submitted at the latest upon starting your studies.

    • Academic IELTS 6.0
    • TOEFL IBT 80 points
    • PTE 56 points (51 points in each component)
    • CAE Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (min. B grade overall)
    • TOEFL/IELTS Waiver Application
  • IUBH Entrance examination
    Depending on your grades and country of origin, an entrance examination may be required.
    The entrance exam may be conducted remotely and consists of a written and an oral exam. The written part of the exam is computer-based and takes approximately 2.5 hours. It is composed of the following sections (1-3):

    • General Knowledge: Multiple choice questions (30 minutes)
    • Mathematics and Logic: Mental arithmetic, conversion exercise, math word problems, logic (60 minutes)
    • English Grammar and Comprehension: English reading, “fill-in-the-blank“, grammar questions (60 minutes)
    • English Oral Exam: Interview (15 minutes)

Prepare for the IUBH Entrance Exam

  • IUBH Pathway
    Depending on your secondary school leaving certificate, grades and country of origin, you may need to undertake the IUBH Pathway Programme, with guaranteed progression into Bachelor when passed successfully.

  • Previous academic education
    Bachelor’s degree or diploma in an economics* study programme from an officially recognized university
    Minimum 3.0 average mark of Bachelor’s degree/diploma
    The one-year Master’s programmes require at least 240 ECTS points from the first study programme or alternatively 210 ECTS point in addition to relevant work experience (30 ECTS)
    Graduates of a non-business course have the opportunity to complete an additional preparatory semester "Path2Master" to catch up on the basics.
  • English language skills
    Since all of our study programmes are offered in English, a certification of your language skills is required (TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge). If you have not graduated yet, you may apply with your existing transcripts of records (incl. grades and credits, if applicable) for a conditional acceptance. The final degree may be submitted at the latest upon starting your studies. Instead of the Bachelor’s/diploma certificate you can submit proof of the credits achieved so far in the form of a transcript of records (incl. credits and grades).
  • Qualification examination TASC
    If you select a one-year Master’s programme and have a Bachelor’s degree with 180 ECTS, you will need to take the qualification examination TASC. It is intended to assess whether you possess sufficient knowledge and skills which are required to successfully pursue the study programme you are applying for at the IUBH. To take the TASC examination, all exam participants can make use of the study platform CLIX which provides helpful study resources including more extensive reading suggestions. You will also find detailed information on how to take the TASC exam, which is largely done independently.
  • Previous academic education and work experience
    Bachelor’s degree or diploma from an officially recognized university
    Minimum 3.0 – German grading system average mark of Bachelor’s degree/diploma
    Two years of relevant work experience
    The one-year MBA requires a minimum of 210 ECTS points achieved in the previous study programme
  • English language skills
    Since all of our study programmes are offered in English, a certification of your language skills is required (TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge). If you have not graduated yet, you may apply with your existing transcripts of records (incl. grades and credits, if applicable) for a conditional acceptance. The final degree may be submitted at the latest upon starting your studies. Instead of the Bachelor’s/diploma certificate you can submit proof of the credits achieved so far in the form of a transcript of records (incl. credits and grades).
