Back to the roots – Alumni return to Bad Honnef

Cultivate memories and IUBH friendships: with this motto in mind, IUBH alumni from a variety of degree programmes accepted the invitation to the Alumni Reunion Weekend at the campus in Bad Honnef from June 14th to 15th 2019.

With good weather and high spirits, they shared experiences and enjoyed an entertaining weekend together.

The event started with a welcome reception at Charly's campus bar on Friday evening. Afterwards, the alumni set off in groups to their old favourite bars and clubs and enjoyed Bad Honnef's "nightlife" just like it used to be when they were students. On Saturday, the concurrent Open Campus Day event awakened memories of student life on campus in Bad Honnef. In the afternoon, IUBH alumnus Michael Jäger, Cofounder and Managing Director of Cremanski & Company, held a workshop entitled Building a High Performing Company Culture. This was followed by a get-together in Charlies Lounge and a networking dinner in the anno restaurant. Afterwards, the participants celebrated the reunion into the early hours of the morning.

Most graduation years and degree programmes were represented: alumni who started their studies in 2004 were among the older ones, but graduates from last year also found their way back to Bad Honnef. IUBH has regular professional contact with many alumni: they are invited as guest speakers in various courses and at Open Campus Day, give their own courses as part of Special Week or contribute to graduation ceremonies as keynote speakers and with awards for the best graduates. Many thanks to the organizers and helping hands. We look forward to the next reunion in 2020!
